Shivams Birthday Lunch at Greens Indian Cuisine!

My Writing: Shivam’s Birthday Lunch!

On Tuesday our class Te Ngahere went and had lunch at Greens Indian Cuisine for Shivam's birthday. Since Shivam’s parents owned the restaurant we got to eat for free so we were very grateful. When the bell rang for morning playtime my friend Jade and I decided to make a birthday card for Shivam with everyones signature in it. After the bell rang to come back inside we practiced our waiata then got ready to walk down to Greens. When we arrived at the restaurant we chose our tables we wanted to sit at. About 5 minutes later they came with some cans of coke and sprite and everyone was like ohhhh woohoo. After that they gave our food table by table. We had butter chicken, plain or garlic naan and rice. The food was soo delicious and mouth watering. I felt amazing but my tummy felt even better. You could tell that the fizzy drinks were kicking in because everyone was getting so hypo. When everyone finished eating my friend Jade and I said a little mihi for Shivam on behalf of the class and gave him our card. Then we asked everyone to come to the front of the restaurant so we could perform our waiata to say thank you to Shivam and his family. Everyone sang their hearts out and it really showed how grateful we really were. Everyone went back to their tables and Shivam gave us a surprise by giving us some big easter eggs and we were even more grateful and happy. The cool thing was that the easter eggs were on these trolley’s and everyone was like woooow because we have never seen so many easter eggs. If you have been to any of the Greens restaurants what do restaurant do you like better, Indian or Thai? What do you call a vegetarian butter-chicken? - Everything but-a-chicken.

Bye bye!
