At Paihia School we have been practising for athletics every Wednesday and Friday. Last week on Friday the 22nd November we went to Bledisloe Domain to participate in the inter school Athletics. Athletics started at 10:00 am so we left at 9:30 am. I went with my Mum and she could take 7 people including me and my Sister. So we took my friend Zara, Tea, Amelia, Tiana, my sister and I. When everyone from our school arrived at Bledisloe Domain some of us were playing and some of us were eating. While we were all sitting Mrs Williams asked for everyone's attention and she told us what we were going to do throughout the day. After Mrs Williams did that, we said Karakia. I was with the year 6 girls and there were a lot of Paihia School, when we were doing the 100 metre sprints our school had to split up into groups, and for discuss we went first because there we so many of us. First we did 200 and 400 metre sprints, After that we did shot put then long jump the discuss. Then we had our break, after our break we did relays then 100 metre sprints and Finally HIGH JUMP and then we finished. We didn't get to do hurdles because some of the schools had to go back to school to catch there buses and some of them go to school further. I came 1st in the 200 metre sprints, I came 2nd in the 400 metre sprints, I came 1st in the 100 metre sprints and made it to the final and semi final so some people had to run three times like me, I came first in long jump and first in High jump.
