Learning Maori Using Education Perfect

In Te Ngahere we have been learning how to pronounce Maori words and sentences correctly. We had to screencastify ourselves saying the alphabet, greetings and place names in Maori. In think that I did well with pronouncing the greetings and place names in Maori because I thought that they were sort of easy. The hard thing for me was when I was pronouncing the Maori alphabet, I carried the macron too long or I didn’t carry it long enough. Are you better at pronouncing Maori words or sentences?
Bye Bye!

Smart Surfing!

In Te Ngahere we have been doing something called Smart Surfing. We are learning how to find the key words in a sentence. From doing this Smart Surfing I learnt that when you are looking something up on google, instead of writing the whole sentence you only write the key words. You should only write the keywords in google because we found out that when you type something up on google, if our question has the word how in it, google will give you every page with the word how. Next time I type something up on google, I will make sure I only write the keywords.

Bye Bye!

Coastal Seas

In Te Ngahere for the past two days we have been learning about ‘Our Planet: Coastal Seas’.

We had to watch a documentary about coastal seas on Netflix. While we were watching the documentary we also had to write down at least 10-15 facts. Then we had to make a DLO and write down all the facts we just learnt.

From the documentary I learnt about dolphins, sharks, jellyfish, coral reefs and other marine animals that live in the sea. I would love to do this again because it was really fun and I learnt a lot of new things about marine animals.

What is your favourite marine animal?

Bye Bye!
