Movie Making

This week in Te Ngahere we have started making our own short films. We had to make our films three minutes long. Our film could be any types of films like action, comedy, educational, sport, adverts, music, game shows, news and weather, children's t.v, puppetry, drama and documentary. We were allowed to make our film about anything that was appropriate. My group and I feel really confident about our film this year. I like that we get to make our own films because I enjoy acting, especially because I am doing it with my friends. I think my friends and I are going to enjoy everything about making our own film and there is going to be nothing we don’t enjoy. The steps we have done so far are film type, script, location, props and sounds. Our next steps are content, titles and credits. Have you made your own film before?

Exercise and Cross Country Training

On Tuesday the 28th our class Te Ngahere did some exercise and cross country training. For exercise, we did some squat lunges, crab walking, sit ups, ten high knees and two push ups and ski jumps. After we finished all of the exercises we started cross country training. For cross country training we jogged to the first cone then back to the start, to the second cone then back to the start, to the third cone then back and do it all over again until five minutes is up. I like that we are doing exercise because it will keep our fitness up and I like that we are doing cross country training because we will soon get better at running for cross country. I like doing P.E because that is something I love to do at school and enjoy every bit of it. What is your favourite sport to play?

Cross Country Coming Up!

On Friday in Te Ngahere we are going to be practising for cross country because cross country is coming up. I am really excited for cross country practise because I love running and I can’t wait for the real day. I really like that we are doing cross country practise because it will help us with our breathing and to pace ourselves. The thing I find hard is running up hills because I get tired and when I run down hills I sometimes fall over, but I still love cross country and running. Do you like running?

Our Amazing Tik Tok Dance!

Last week in Te Ngahere for our Assembly we did a tik tok dance. Since there is some tik tok dances that aren’t sensible for school Anyah and Mihipeka found some sensible tik tok songs for us. The first tik tok dance we danced to was laxed. The song laxed was a beat to a song. We danced to that since it was sensible for school. I also want to say thank you to Anyah and Mihipeka for teaching our class and teachers the tik tok dances and thank you to the teachers for letting us do the tik tok dances. If we get to do this again I think I need to work on sliding and wiggling more. What is your favourite tik tok dance?
Here is our tik tok dance video: Hope you like it!
